I feel like I'm in kindergarten about to experience my first day of school ever.. --I'm excited to see what my teachers are like and all of that! Hopefully chat up some cute kiwi boys today if everything goes right ;). Just kidding, thats probably asking too much in my psychology classes but hopefully I will meet some cool new people! I had a great weekend...filled with adventure (of course).
Eclipse was great :) Verena and I both went all oogly Edward and then Jacob's muscles. Then all of us went to Hood Street Local to have a drink which was nice. Saturday was pretty packed, we went shopping in the morning and then to the Hamilton Gardens in the afternoon followed by dinner with the girls and then to the city to go clubbing at Agenda. Woofta! The gardens were alright...Denise was pretty amazed by them because she hasn't been to something like that before but I think it would be much more impressive in the summer- For obvious reasons. But there were flowers and stuff which was pretty cool to see in the "dead of winter". Pictures! --
Doesn't quite look like the winter we're used to, does it? It almost feels like it though. Brrr. It get's really cold at night and then during the day it will stay in the mid 30s or 40s. So, that was kind of the main event for the weekend. Agenda was an O.K. experience considering I've never really been one to enjoy going to the clubs. It was pretty cool though because the dance floor was small so I didn't feel forced into dancing. There was a lot of room to sit and talk to people...pretty classy lookin' place actually. Definitely going to have to get used to the time people go out around here-- they wait until midnight basically to even leave their flats to head to the bar. I think that means there's time for a nap before we head to the bars from now on, aye? ;)
Monday's I only have two classes so I'm still waiting to go to my first one at the moment-- at 2:10 I have Popular Culture and then from 3:10-5 I have Contemporary Issues & Social Psychology. My popular culture class is the one that I had to add because I didn't have enough points for the semester...which is kind of annoying but I think the class will be all right.
I feel like the blog is lacking personality today...everything just seems so formal today with school starting that I have nothing exciting to say. Maybe I should have waited to write this... ha! Oh well...deal with it.
I'm gonna go listen to some Ben Lee and drinking a tea before class.
Ps. new word for this area of the world that I learned--- Australasia?? Fascinating.
